To celebrate Blendtec Week, we’re sharing three blender-friendly recipes — and one lucky reader will win a Blendtec! If you missed the first recipe, check out our berry sangria sorbet.
I knew the smoothie for Blendtec Week had to be two layered. Two-layer smoothies are simply stunning and make any drink feel special.

Because smoothies are basic blender fare, I wanted a recipe that stood out in both flavor and presentation. The orange layer brings tropical mango and bright citrus, while the purple layer is packed with mixed berries. Together they form a Hawaiian Berry Smoothie that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.

For a finishing touch, top the smoothie with a skewer of fresh mango, orange, and berries. If you want to create swirls or patterns where the layers meet, here’s an easy technique:
- Fill each glass about two-thirds full with one layer.
- Spoon a few dollops of the second layer on top, leaving the glass not quite full.
- Use a butter knife or popsicle stick to drag and create patterns along the sides of the glass.
- Finish by filling the glass to the top with more smoothie to conceal any rough edges.
