It was a wonderful day to be a teacher.
The day was filled with treats, laughter, smiles and warm kindergarten friendships. We hit a small snag when I discovered homemade cupcakes couldn’t be shared — the school requires store-bought items for class distribution. Stephen quickly ran to the store and returned with packaged cupcakes, and the kids were delighted. Their happiness made my day.
I also put in a tough morning at CrossFit so I could fully enjoy tonight’s dinner without guilt. A good workout always helps me feel energized and ready to celebrate with the kids.
Teaching moments like these — simple, joyful, and full of connection — are what make the job rewarding. Seeing children light up over small treats and time with friends reminds me why I love this work.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day filled with peace, love and happiness from Alabama.
